چکیده

The majority of the population in Indonesia lives naturally ventilated and unconditioned residential buildings because they cannot afford energy services. This situation is common many countries tropical regions, negatively affecting occupants’ health due to overheating. Therefore, housing types that can cool down indoor temperatures extent possible using a passive approach, rather than an active should be developed. study aims improve houses by considering louver area insulation houses. First, we employ on-site measurement for collecting data such as indoor/outdoor temperature relative humidity Indonesian city, Lhokseumawe. In addition, experimental are used validate numerical simulation model. Second, utilized establish energy-efficient design solutions 14 locations. results show that, compared with cases, different areas insignificantly change air conditions approximately 0.3 1 °C. Additionally, application combined performance improvement both building envelope levels reduce 2.2 °C 8%, respectively. Moreover, daily cooling demand proposed plan reduced 18.90% existing case. Furthermore, annual loads entire simulated regions 46.63 GJ/year (23.09%). potential starting point achieving zero-energy sufficient thermal comfort Indonesia.

Predicting the Microclimate in a Naturally Ventilated Plastic House in a Mediterranean Climate

The microclimate of a naturally ventilated plastic house was simulated for 23 days using the Gembloux Greenhouse Dynamic Model (GGDM). Improved calculations of natural ventilation #ux and stomatal resistance of vegetation were introduced, based on experimental equations from previous research. A linear non-dimensional ventilation function was developed and compared with those obtained by other ...

dynamic assessment of air temperature for tomato (lycopersicon esculentum mill) cultivation in a naturally ventilated net-screen greenhouse under tropical lowlands climate

net-screen covered greenhouses operating on natural ventilation are used as a sustainable approach for closed-field cultivation of fruits and vegetables and to eliminate insect passage and the subsequent production damage. the objective of this work was to develop a real-time assessment framework for evaluating air-temperature inside an insect-proof net-screen greenhouse in tropical lowlands of...

Variability of Thermal Stratification in Naturally Ventilated

Building energy simulation programs often use standard thermal comfort indices and thresholds as boundary conditions. However, most of them focus on comfortable indoor hydrothermal levels, rather than spatial distributions. This paper investigates internal temperature vertical stratification in naturally ventilated residential buildings. To evaluate this effect, a field study was carried out in...

Energy Delivery at Oil and Gas Wells Construction in Regions With Harsh Climate

Energy delivery at well construction in regions with hard climate is distinguished by variable demand in electric and heat power. Energy consumption of drilling equipment, production and living facilities varies greatly during the year, depending on power load charts and climate conditions. Power supply of remote well construction sites is mostly accomplished by operating autonomous power sourc...
